FreeCreditScore.com is part of the Experian family of consumer credit reporting web sites. Experian is one of the three major credit bureaus in the United States, along with Equifax and TransUnion. Equifax is the largest and the oldest of the three credit bureaus. TransUnion is the smallest and youngest of the three.
FreeCreditScore.com offers free Experian credit reports and scores to those that need to know what's on their Experian credit file. Credit reports and scores from the other two agencies can be purchased for an additional fee.
Free Experian credit scores are offered when users sign up for a free trial to FreeCreditScore.com's credit monitoring service called Triple Advantage. The free trial runs for a duration of 7-days, through which users can monitor activity in each of their three credit bureau profiles. There is no obligation to keep the service after the trial has expired.
Users can access and print out their Experian credit reports and scores an unlimited number of times while they have an account with FreeCreditScore.com. Triple Advantage Credit monitoring is free only for the first 7-days. If the user has not interest in continuing with the service, he must call in to cancel before the expiration for the trial is up. Otherwise whatever credit card that is on file is charged.
FreeCreditScore.com is a good place to view credit report and view credit scores from Experian. The site is easy to remember and it also includes a short but good free 7-day trial to the company's Triple Advantage Credit Monitoring Service.
